After creating your blog, after puttng quality contents on it, does it end there? I'll say its just the beginning. You want your contents to reach potential audience, otherwise what's the point of spending your time creating and publishing an article?
Now this is where SEO comes in. You might want to ask “what is SEO” SEO is a short term for Search Engine Optimization. This tutorial will be showing you the basic things you need to know about SEO as a beginner.

Google webmaster tools is a dashboard or platform you can

You can also change how google views your site and get updates regarding errors found on your site.
Now to use google webmaster tools, you will need to sign up with your gmail account or read “how to use google to get traffic to your blog”. I explained how you can sign up to google webmaster tools and submit your sitemap for crawling and indexing. Now let's move on to the next tip.
2. Keywords or Search Queries
This is another aspect of SEO which well utilized will generate tons of traffic to your site.
Keywords or search queries are the words that users type into the search box. You can google search on “the most searched keywords” on a particular topic or niche.
Now, when creating posts, make sure to add these top searched keywords to your article at least four-five times; but don't over do it. You can create post with these keywords using them as your post title.
3. Create Title and Description Tags for each page
Using title and meta description tags is the best way to communicate to google bots about your page title and contents. When creating a post, go to the html section of that page and add a title tag. Read “how to add title and description meta tags to your blog posts”
4. Make your site easy to navigate
This is another important SEO tip. Easy navigation helps visitors quickly find the contents they are looking for. This involves you creating labels for every post you create on your blog. You can also add “related post” and “featured post” widgets on your blog.
5. Post quality contents regularly
This is the most important SEO tip to get your blog flooded with traffic. When you create quality posts, users will always come back to your blog. Some will even share your post with their friends. When you post regularly, google bots will always come around your site to crawl and index your posts.
