If you search for the keyword “SEO” online, you'll see hundreds of results of related articles. There are so many seo methods to improve your page ranking, I gave a few of them on one of my previous posts on 7 Seo Tips to make your site rank higher on search engines.
It is now clear that google no longer ranks websites based on keywords, but by quality contents and
the quality of backlinks to your website/blog.
A big change in google's ranking algorithm was the shift toward user intent. This means that for Google to consider content to be of high quality, it must fulfil what it thinks the users wants from it.
In today's tutorial, I'll enlighten you on the two main SEO factors to focus on that will skyrocket your blog rankings, you'll thank me for this later.
1. Quality Content
Create posts that will make your blog unique and standout. Don't write for the search engines, but write great contents for your audience.
Search engines are trying to improve on the products or information users search for. They want to give the best possible search results, so if your contents aren't good enough, your blog won't rank high on search results. That's why quality content should be your number one focus to show up in search engines results.
Now, apart from the quality of contents, the lenght of contents is another search engine factor to rank high. Survey shows that websites/blogs with more words rank higher than websites/blogs with less or fewer words or contents.
In conclussion, you can improve your content quality for SEO rankings by focusing on
»High quality and comprehensive contents
»Long tail or long form contents
»Contents enriched with images
»Easy to read contents.
2. Quality Backlinks
Now after creating and posting quality contents on your blog, your next focus should be on how to acquire high quality backlinks. This is the most effective way to improve your search engine rankings. Some links can improve your rankings, while some will decrease your rankings.
Getting quality backlinks is not easy to acquire, the easier it is to acquire, the less quality it will have.
There are many websites that offer paid backlinking services, but it is risky to get paid backlinks to your blog because it is against search engines guidelines and your blog/site might get penelized if found.
It’s logical that a high quality backlink would
come from a high quality site/blog, and that a
high quality site/blog would also be a very
trustworthy site. Now make sure that the links you acquire are natural. When you create quality contents and share them on social media, web directories, forums, you'll get backlinks naturally.
I'll be ending this tutorial here, I hope this was helpful. More updates will be coming soon...
