Are you new to seo? Or perhaps you aren't getting enough web traffic to your website? All that will change if you consider and review the below steps which I'll be showing you. It doesn't matter how many posts you have published on your blog, you can still start all over and review your progress. Sometimes the best way forward is to take a step back. There are so many
mistakes I have made these past years blogging, and I would like you to avoid these mistakes that almost every new bloggers make. This may well be a second chance for you to start all over again and make it right. Just follow these tips and your blogging career will never remain the same.
1. Always avoid duplicate content: this is one big mistake I made when I first started blogging. I would copy contents from other blogs and publish them on mine, thinking that was an easy way. The truth is, there is no easy way. You have to abide by the rules. Having duplicate content is the number one reason why your site isn't doing well in search engines which is also why you are not getting much traffic to your site. This act can also get you banned by google and other search engines. If your site already have duplicate contents, use noindex tag on those pages so that search engines will not index them.
2. Work on your site's internal linking: navigation plays a very important role in your site's search ranking. Use features like “feature posts, related posts, popular posts, page numbers, gingerbread navigation” on your site.
3. Optimize your blog's loading speed: the load speed of your blog is a very important factor in search ranking. If your blog loads very slow, you won't be able to retain visitors which would lead to low traffic.
4. Don't pay for or buy backlinks: buying of links is against google webmaster guidelines, you may not know this but google and search engines can detect unnatural or manipulative backlinks. This could either get you penalized or your blog's search engines rankings will fall. You should concentrate on making quality contents and people will link back to you naturally.
5. Appropriate use of keywords: this is the skeletal factor that can get your site ranking high. You should use keywords that are specifically related to your blog's niche. Inappropriate use of keywords can lead to low search engines ranking and eventually, failure.
6. Create contents for human beings not search engines: this is self explainatory. When you are creating contents, have it at the back of your mind that you are doing it for your audience. You must write to please your audience, but this doesn't mean you should ignore search engines. What's the need creating contents that rank well but doesn't interest people.
7. Connect your Google+ page to your blog: connecting your google+ account to your blog or site improves your search rankings and click-through rate.
8. Don't rely only on search engines: over reliance on search engines can lead to you loosing your search ranking if you get penelized. So you don't put all your eggs in one basket, right? You should make use of social media platforms alongside seo. This will infact generate natural backlinks to your site.
9. Is your site/blog good enough to be first on search engines?
You must ask yourself this question, and if your answer is No, then you can't rank high insearch engines. Google takes look at how proffessionsl your site is, you can't rank high when your site isn't good enough. Am sorry to say that, but its the fact.
10. Use description tags on every post: Adding description on each of your post will give users a reason to click on your post. Depending on how well formed the description is.
I hope this tip will help you get your desired number audience and search engines rankings.
I look forward to hearing testimonies from you soon.....
